I would like to use the local storage as destination (PDF, not only as JPEG in Gallery). I'm using Android (7) and really miss this feature.

Chris PatesThe app is currently using bespoke integrations for each cloud destination, could it not be reworked to make use of the 'open in'/'send to' another app on the device. By requesting the available 'targets', would reduce the integration maintenance and open up the ability to send notes to a much wider range of targets for no additional dev effort. It would also open up opportunities in the enterprise world where 'acceptable' storage locations are limited.

FerbaIf you could please consider sending to “open in iBooks” in iOS. That is where I would love to have my PDF files stored locally. Then I can have them across devices. Such a sweet thought!

Tom FothYes... sending it to iBooks in iOS! Yes, please!

HolgerI'd like to use Rocketbook at work. However, this is impossible for legal reasons as long as my notes must be uploaded to an external cloud provider or when sent unencryped in emails. Support of private clouds like NextCloud or WebDAV or local storage of notes might be the solution. This is a show-stopper for business use in many companies!

John MadisonI agree- due to privacy issues I would like to be able to store notes locally without going through a cloud service. This is a deal breaker for me.

GregSome of the work I do includes company intellectual property. Having local files to send on company email system vs sending thru a third party would allow me to use the app for more pages. (Today, I use the app for general stuff but then scan in pages that might be considered IP).

Marc Richter+1 - This would be a great Feature!

AndreasWith iOS it is possible to use the share option but only manually after scanning. You can then save the scans locally and other cloud solutions.

Ron GI too would be interested in being able to save to a local device/drive for security reasons. I have shared my Everlast with everyoneI know. We all love it!

S. KraftSame for me. I need to be able to store the PDF files on the local storage in a destination of choice, so i could add multiple subdirectories for different stuff and then sync them with Syncthing. It's a feature i requested a lot since i got my Everlast. I know more people that would buy a large Everlast or the new small version, but also need to store the PDF to a local destination. I don't get it, what's the problem to implement this feature?

MadDogDeanSave to local device is what we need (Android and iOS both). Using cloud services is great for those that live on the internet highway, but as a remote (as in working out of town WITHOUT data), I have no way of using a Rocketbook other than as a fancy wet erase book.

PascalPlease add a feature to safe the files into my local storage. Please!!!

FernandoVery easy to implement, and it would solve many user needs. Why is not yet in the app? I can't understand it.
This feature will solve also the Nextcloud demand, because Nextcloud android client is able to upload contents from local folder. -

WilliamSame here.
Many corporations prohibit the storing of confidential information on cloud servers. I was hoping to use Rocketbook to take notes at meetings and then save them locally but since the only option is to store in the cloud, I can't use it. Now it's just a fancy novelty - and not a very useful one since it has very few pages and requires me to transcribe all my notes back into a secure environment. -

CostasAgreed - it looks like most of the elements are already actually in place. Even if it was saved within the respective mobile device App as a PDF (as opposed to a JPG), we could always use the "share" functionality in Android and iOS to send it to the appropriate cloud service / destination. Given the number of User Suggestion votes for similar features (like "Destination: webdav", and "Add Nextcloud as personal cloud storage") this is something that a non-trivial number of people want.

BobParticularly, 'full citizenship' for local storage ( i.e. both PDFs and JPGs ) is more secure and doesn't consume cellular bandwidth. ++

Edd BarrettLike another user said, I'd like to sync my notes via Syncthing, which basically means I'd need to ability to define local filesystem destinations. I'd like it if rocketpad icons could be configured to save to a user-choosable local filesystem path.
For example, X-ing the rocket might save the scan to /storage/emulated/0/rocket/general, whereas X-ing the diamond may save to /storage/emulated/0/rocket/work. -

Sam EdwardsI agree with Wolfgang, this is exactly what I would like to do--saving a local PDF of the page(s). It is still nice to have the various email/cloud features, but I would like to be able to save things for viewing or sharing at a later time.

anthonyMany company policy doesn't allow us to upload our content to external server. Please allow us to save in local with choice of folder as destination

anthoMy company won't let me use it unless I can save it locally for example in folder on my device that I would be able to transfer afterwards

s sCan't believe after searching this is what I found. Wanted to export the "scan" to my gallery.... Really you don't have this option?! Shocked to say the least?! Shouldn't require exporting and saving outside the app. Or have the app do both pdf+jpg when exporting. Then it should be easy to view the scans in the gallery. Please fix this !

BI would LOVE to have the ability to send as PDFs to local storage. Evidenced by the many other comments here, Rocketbook is missing out on a large population of users that are prohibited from using cloud storage. * Imagine, how just this ONE feature could "Rocket" your sales of Rocketbooks and Beacons! For my use, the inability to send to local storage, or to the Notion app really hobbles it's functionality. "Launch" this feature and you may find yourself selling Rocketbooks by the case...

Connor DaleSame comments as are listed in the litany above. Need to make sure I have a way to get confidential/private information from book to local hard drive. Is this really that hard?

Lenny HSame as above just repeating it - I bought it expecting you could save locally and now I will probably just return it since I can't. This one feature would make it so useful in a confidential / non cloud attached work environment.

Marc B.I see that this question was asked back in 2017 and marked as 'Under consideration'. Was hoping that this feature existed now... Can we get a status update, now that it's been under consideration for more than 3 years? Thanks.
