Markdown would be a great way to markup hand-written documents that could be transformed into actual formatting when the handwriting recognition is applied. Perhaps not everything, but a subset like bold and italic and lists. Check-out https://commonmark.org/help/ for more info.

StephanieI agree! It would be great if there was a way to have formatting preserved from my handwritten notes to the transciption!

Clifton FranklundThis is a must have for me. I would even consider paying a bit more to add it as a premium feature.

KarlI would love this so much! Having at least some formatting capability would make the OCR much more useful. It's neat right now, but could become perfect.

AndrewThis would kick the usefulness up a notch. Please do this.

Jonathan LucasI'd go so far as to say that the OCR is not very useful without this feature. It currently just converts into a free-form text stream, ignoring even paragraph breaks.
Implementing Markdown support would allow you to support output as HTML, Word, PDF documents etc. -

Benjamin Van TreeseThis would be really awesome.
The killer would be making it able to diff the current markdown vs another (i.e. when you've checked boxes or etc, added new items).
So that you could assign one of the targets to a "markdown note/todo list" thing so that when you've checked things off in your notebook, scan it, and it would diff/autoupdate the markdown note that exists somewhere else.
I would honestly stop using other todo apps / workflowy etc for this. Even if a premium feature (like $20/year) -

RobI would also pay more for adding markdown to my notes.

Kevin HarmsLot's of people that are using Rocketbook are also going to be at least somewhat familiar with Markdown. They're already using it to transfer their notes to cloud apps such as OneNote, EverNote, etc., so it's a natural extension to add Markdown capability.

Jessica VazquezThis is a GREAT idea. <3 I could draft documents with formatting (like tables!) on paper and then perfect them in digital form. I second this!

Shannon McLeodI am a freak for formatting. I like the simplicity of markdown. Along with OCR this could be a game changer.

Sebastien Auclair(Feb 7th, 2021) I just discovered RocketBook innovative products... So much potential !
But a bit surprised that some obvious features aren't available... Markdown support is one of them.
(That and no Open API, MS Sharepoint/Teams integrations, custom connection icons...etc)
But no Markdown is really surprising as we can already define ## FileName ## instructions in the notes we take.
