Trying to stay on top of integrating every application requested by the community may become too big a job in the future. Allow independent developers to help.

QuentinThis will be amazing.
A plus for all the evernote ecosystem. -

AssafPlease do it...
I would like to integrate with our confluence knowledge base -

JoeI believe this would be huge for Rocketook as then the opportunities are endless.
Can be an extra income stream..
It brings more services on board.
It can bring more users in actually buying the notebook (people who;d otherwise go somewhere elsE)
Allow scustomization,
Basically, you become THE option once some Devs and Designers jump on board. -

WernerThis would make the Rocketbook integration into custom software possible.
Maybe start with a basic Webhook system, where Rocketbook will HTTP POST the file to a custom URL. -
27 Dec, '18
ChrisThe integration could be as simple as hitting a web endpoint and let the service figure out what to do. E.g.: set up custom destination to "Other - Web" and enter an address like "https://example.com/api/documents" and have it just post the document and possibly the OCR text.
I'm currently working around this by having it send to a specific email account and then I have a service that checks the email account for new messages then takes the OCR text and adds to/removes from my todo list. -

Wies Karimithis would be legendary. for the consumer to not be restricted by note-taking apps, and for the developer to have this awesome tool be integrated within their software
-

KelliThis would be amazing. I love my Rocketbook, but i can think of so many more uses for it if I could do custom integrations via an API.
-

Nico SuarezEven a simple webhook system like Werner and Chris suggested already would be AMAZING!
-

Wies KarimiThe possibilities are literally endless. Use an obscure note taking app. BOOM Rocketbook'd. Have a to-do list app. BOOM Rocketbook'd. Calculator with basic word processing. BOOM Rocketbook'd. The ball is in your court.

PaulIs this a reality? it would be perfect for my app for psychologists to take notes on specific clients
-

Anne-Marie PedneaultSomeone just mentionned today that it would be nice to scan notes and upload them to our in-house management application. The orc content in our db and the PDF in the client file.

LukeThis would be ideal for me, I've been scheming ways of having a camera set up permanently facing my whiteboard, then colour in a marker when you're ready for upload... this would make it a breeze!

WilliamPlease do this. Thanks

Yancarlo MondriguezThis would make the RBook a freaking hyperspeed-rocketbook!
-

LaurenYeah this. Unfortunately it's unlikely to get the support it deserves since many people don't know what an API is or how to do anything with it even if it were available so they don't immediately understand how beneficial it would be even to them.

PanosYes please, would love to be able to grab the OCR and image off the rocketbook server to use in custom workflows and webhooks!
-
09 Aug, '19
Chris LPlease! I found this thread looking to see if there was any support for this already! I was considering setting up a way to post to a Discord, as well as for a work related project.
-

Eric ShepherdWould absolutely love this. I can think of at least half a dozen integrations I want or need badly enough to write them myself.
-

DanI have been using the Remarkable Tablet for sometime and I feel that nothing quite does what you all have exquitely figured out. Open an API to tap into your software and change a whole community of note takers in one shot!

RichardIt would be fantastic.... get community developers on-board

Nathan HarveyBefore a webhook option is added, the workaround for the time being is to set up an email account for the purpose (Gmail or Outlook.com will both work fine, let's pretend you got aaff22@gmail.com), then make an IFTTT account using aaff22@gmail.com, and set up a new applet that when your aaff22@gmail.com sends a message to trigger@applet.ifttt.com, it will call (whatever webhook you wanted).
Then just set up a rule in aaff22@gmail.com to forward new mails to trigger@applet.ifttt.com. -

EzraAn open API would rocket your product usability out of this world. I hope you prioritize this!
-

hcs++ to everything that has been said. From the vantage point of a developer, an open API would make RocketBook a hands-down winner over any alternative.
-

Albert D.We've got 6 Rocketbooks in my house (4x Everlasts in different sizes -- Letter, Executive, and Mini; 1x Color; 1x Fusion). I won't be buying any additional Rocketbooks until you add either an open API or IFTTT integration. We're trying to reduce our dependence on giant tech monopolists like Google and Microsoft, not lock ourselves in further. Please make this a priority!

MoPlease make this available. As a developer who loves his RocketBook, this will make me love it even more!
-
13 Dec, '19
James CoderAs a developer - I am surprised one would do this WITHOUT an API.
I teach web development AND academic writing / research / study habits. I haven't started using Rocketbook yet but was already hunting for an API so I can develop an app that allows me to help my students with their scheduling habits. I think my educational method here is likely to get fairly big fairly quick - and of course if Rockebook is profiting from that - its market share will go up FAST. -

CYes please

Nick TrettelYES! I have so many ideas already. Something that was not mentioned above: it could still be extremely useful to non-developers. There could be some forum on Rocketbook's site to browse through already-built custom integrations.

Andrzej TaraminaI'm getting fed up with the privacy invasions and walled gardens of the iOS and Android world, and my next phone is very likely to be a Linux-based one to match my desktops/laptops. An API would be fantastic to facilitate the availability of Rocketbook functionality on linux mobile devices! Two thumbs up for this request!

MenisterThis would make Rocketbook very interesting for the developer community! Hopefully this will someday be implemented...
-

RickAny traction on this? It takes it from "huh that's cute, might use it a couple times" to " required business tool" fairly quickly.
-

Sim1As a developer, I agree this would be an extremely useful tool. I have so many ideas for integration projects. I may test a few using the workaround listed above. Thanks for that 👍

Adam StarrhI would also like to integrate Rocketbook into my productivity application via an API. Being able to scribble out information to be converted into data in my application would be a game changer.
-
15 Feb
AdamYes, please. An API that would let me retrieve my data to integrate into my own apps and sites would be super helpful.
